Rich was born in Queens but spent most of his life in Brooklyn, New York. He attended St. Johns University and St. Johns School of Law. He was a man of integrity and conviction. He loved life to the fullest and having fun was always a priority. At the same time, he was a hard working man who did not take his reponsibilities lightly.
His family was his priority. His wife Carol, son Thomas along with his mother and father were all big parts of his life. Oh yes and his beloved dog, Okie, who is now 17 years old!
Rich was a long time volunteer at the Salvation Army. He was one of the first to offer his help at Ground Zero after September 11th. He also served his church, St. William the Abbott as an Usher for many years. He loved his Country and his patriotism was evident in so many ways. He enjoyed displaying the American Flag and always treated it with respect and dignity. His passing on the 4th of July was poignant.
Rich founded R&J Abstracts where he worked with his partner, John for many years. He ran his business the way he ran his life -- with organization and dedication.
July 4th, 2013 marks his 10th anniversary in Heaven. I miss you and love you very much! There is rarely a day that goes by where you are not thought of in some way. Until we meet again...
Your loving wife
Carol
